Hello. I'm Amanda and I Cross Stitch
Updated: Sep 19, 2019
Hello! Thanks for finding me here. I thought I should take a second and introduce myself.
My name is Amanda Parks. I am a wife to a fireman, a mom to four littles, a nurse practitioner and a stitcher. In short, I am a cross stitcher and hand embroidery artist and I LOVE to make things with fabric, needle and thread.

Let's be honest... I'm busy and some days I wonder how I get it all done. Other days I toss up the white flag and realize NOTHING is going to get done. And then, there are those days when all I want to do is snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, a beverage and my cross stitch (oh, you too?). My stitchy-time is basically my down time. It's the time I use to relax, clear my head and watch mindless television (usually after the kiddos have gone to bed).
I first started cross-stitch when I was a young girl. As I remember, I was 7 or 8 years old and learned the basics from my mom on my grandmother's couch. We were on vacation at the time and I don't think I left the couch for the whole trip.
I usually have more than one project going at a time. I have a small project that I pick-up and put-down in between all the other things. This is usually a portable project on a small hoop or maybe I don't use a hoop at all. And I usually have a bigger project going... right now, it's a Christmas stocking for my oldest daughter. It's moving along slowly - but - surely ;-)
So, I know you're wondering... what can I expect from this blog? Well, I'll be sharing life things, stitchy things, tips and tricks, tutorials, diy home stuff and all my favorite things. Let me know in the comments if you want more info about a specific topic or technique. I'm always happy to help! Thank you for stopping in. I'm so glad you're here!
Nice to meet you.
